Running & Endurance Coaching –

Running and endurance coaching isn’t just for fast runners or ultra athletes – it’s for anyone with a goal that requires endurance, consistency and resilience. I work with beginner runners starting their first run/walk programme, through to marathon and ultra-distance runners, as well as people training for other endurance challenges. Endurance coaching can also include preparation for long-distance hiking and adventures such as the Te Araroa Trail, multi-day events, or personal challenges. The focus is on building endurance safely, staying injury-free, and creating training that fits around real life while still moving you towards your goal.

How can I help?
Running and endurance training looks different for everyone. For some people it might be building up to their first 5km, for others it might be completing a marathon, ultra marathon, long distance hike, or endurance event. My coaching is built around the individual, their goals, their current fitness level, injury history, and what is realistic for their lifestyle.
Training is planned with a clear progression, helping you develop endurance step by step while managing load and recovery. The aim is to create a consistent approach that fits into your routine and allows you to keep moving forward without unnecessary setbacks.

Getting Started
If you’re unsure where to start, the first step is a free 30-minute meeting. This can be done over the phone, via video call, or in person. This gives us a chance to talk about your goals, your training history, any injuries or limitations, and what sort of coaching or training structure might suit you best.
If you decide you would like to move forward, the next step is a one-hour consultation. This session includes basic health screening, discussion around goals and expectations, training history, lifestyle factors, and looking at what we need to put in place to help you progress safely and consistently.
From there, we move into either Running & Endurance Performance or Running & Endurance Lite coaching options.
Running & Endurance Performance
This option is for people who want ongoing coaching, regular feedback, programme adjustments, and support throughout their training. This is a more hands-on coaching service and is suited to people training for events, ultras, endurance challenges, or those who want structured coaching and accountability.
The Performance option begins with a full one-hour consultation and programme design ($120). During this consultation we discuss your goals, training history, injury history, lifestyle factors, nutrition, health considerations, and any strength or mobility work that may be needed. We also look at running form and overall training structure.
From there, coaching includes:
- Personalised training programme
- Programme review and adjustments every two weeks
- 20-minute video call every two weeks
- Ongoing support via text and email
- Guidance around training load, recovery, and injury management
- Strength training guidance to support running
- Advice around nutrition and lifestyle factors that affect training and recovery
- Event planning and race preparation where applicable
Cost: $50 per fortnight
Services can be cancelled at any time.
Running & Endurance Lite
The Lite option is for people who mainly want a structured training programme with occasional guidance and adjustments, but do not need regular coaching contact. This is a more budget-friendly option and works well for people who are self-motivated but want a plan and some guidance along the way.
The Lite option includes a one-hour initial consultation and programme design ($120). A 20-minute follow-up video call is included to explain the programme and answer any questions.
After that, the programme is reviewed and adjusted once per month, which includes a 30-minute follow-up call to discuss training, progress, and any changes that need to be made.
Cost: $50 per month

My focus is on building strong foundations, consistency, and training that fits into real life. You don’t need to be an athlete to train for performance. Performance simply means improving from where you are now — getting stronger, moving better, having more energy, reducing injury risk, or preparing for an event or challenge.
