Health and Lifestyle Coaching focuses on improving overall health, wellbeing and daily habits, not just exercise performance. Many people know what they should be doing for their health, but struggle to put it into practice consistently. This coaching is designed to provide guidance, structure and support to help people make realistic and sustainable lifestyle changes. This may include physical activity, nutrition habits, sleep, stress management, weight management, long-term health conditions, or simply building better routines. The focus is on small, consistent changes that fit into your life and lead to long-term improvements in health, energy and overall wellbeing.


How can I help?

Health and Lifestyle Coaching is about guiding and supporting you to make practical, long-term changes that improve wellbeing, energy, and overall health — without relying on gym programmes or performance-focused training.. The focus is on helping people make realistic changes that improve health, energy levels, and overall wellbeing over time.

The first step is an initial one-hour consultation ($80). During this session we complete a basic health screening and health history, and discuss current lifestyle, physical activity levels, nutrition habits, sleep, stress, long-term health conditions, and any barriers that may be affecting health. We also talk about goals and what areas of health you would like to improve.

Follow-up consultations are 30 minutes ($50) and are used to review progress, discuss challenges, adjust goals, and continue working on lifestyle changes. These sessions are more discussion, support and motivation-focused rather than being gym or exercise prescription sessions.

During coaching we may discuss areas such as:

  • Nutrition habits
  • Physical activity and movement
  • Medication compliance
  • Long-term health conditions
  • Stress management
  • Sleep
  • Building routines and healthy habits
  • Accessing other health or community services that may help support you

This service is more motivation, support and behaviour change focused, rather than structured gym training programmes.

Where appropriate, Health & Lifestyle Coaching can be combined with Strength & Performance or Running & Endurance coaching to provide overall support. What this looks like will depend on the individual and can be discussed during the consultation.

(Please note that Health Coaching is provided at many medical centres in New Zealand as a free service. You are usually able to self-refer by contacting your medical centre and this could be a great option for you if you are budget conscious or not needing to work with me specifically)

Coaching Philosophy

My focus is on building strong foundations, consistency, and training that fits into real life. You don’t need to be an athlete to train for performance. Performance simply means improving from where you are now — getting stronger, moving better, having more energy, reducing injury risk, or preparing for an event or challenge.

Training should support your life, not take it over.
