Welcome to Vaughan Kingi Performance. This space is something I’ve wanted to create for a while, a place where I can share ideas, knowledge, and practical advice around training, performance, health, and long-term development.
My coaching is built around a simple idea: training should support your life, not take it over. Whether someone is training for a race, trying to get stronger, returning from injury, or just wanting to be healthier and more active, the approach should be realistic, sustainable, and appropriate for the individual.
Through my coaching services, I aim to work with a wide range of people. Some may be runners preparing for events from 5km through to ultramarathons. Others may want strength coaching to improve performance, reduce injury risk, or simply feel stronger and more capable in everyday life. Some people may not see themselves as athletes at all, but just want guidance, structure, and accountability to improve their health and fitness.
A big focus for me is long-term consistency. Quick fixes and extreme programmes often don’t last, but small improvements done consistently over time can make a huge difference. I’m more interested in what someone can maintain for years rather than what they can do for six weeks.
This blog will cover a range of topics including running, strength training, injury prevention, race preparation, general health, and sustainable lifestyle habits. The goal is to provide useful, easy-to-understand information that people can apply to their own training and daily life.
Thanks for being here and following along with Vaughan Kingi Performance.
